Following a solid tenure in Washington, WR Jamison Crowder is signing with the New York Jets, Per Ian Rapoport. The deal is rumored to be for 3yr/$28.5m with $17m guaranteed.
The Jets entered the offseason expected to make major changes to their roster with all of their cap space and were particularly looking to upgrade their offense for QB Sam Darnold and new HC Adam Gase. They began the re-tooling Sunday, trading for former Pro-Bowl Guard Kelechi Osemele. They continued Monday with the signing of Crowder.
Known for his slot play and underneath game, Jamison Crowder joins a young, but talented receiving group that includes Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson. Gase has already begun raving about Anderson’s speed and it is easy to imagine he will be getting creative with Crowder.
Crowder comes off a season where he caught 29 receptions for 388yds and two touchdowns in nine games before being sidelined with an ankle injury. He will be looking to return to form for Gang Green.
