Wednesday morning was a big win for the Baltimore Ravens. They were able to sign both, safety Earl Thomas and running back Mark Ingram within a couple of hours.
Thomas got what he wanted from free agency as he is now the highest paid safety in the NFL with a new four-year, $55 million deal with $32 million in guaranteed money. (ESPN.com)
Thomas had a rollercoaster year last year with the Seahawks as he entered the final year of his contract and demanded more money, which he deserved. Things didn’t go as planned and Thomas never got his extra cash and eventually ended up breaking his leg in week four. He now got the contract he was looking for and is ready to play.
Ingram agreed to sign a three-year, $15 million deal with the Ravens on Wednesday (NFL Network). The Ravens love to run, and Mark Ingram loves to run, making this a solid match for both sides.
The Ravens made two big moves on offense and defense, trying to build off of last year’s playoff run, and after trading Joe Flacco, they seem 100% committed to Lamar Jackson and his play style as the future of their franchise.
