Saints to Sign TE Jared Cook

The Saints plan to sign former Pro Bowl TE Jared Cook, per ProFootballTalk/Twitter.

Per source Saints are close to deal with TE Jared Cook.

Cook was one of the several free agents I said was a “must sign” in my first article I’ve written.

Jared Cook had a Pro Bowl season including 68 receptions, 896 yards for 6 touchdowns. Cook is 6 feet, 5 inches tall weighing in at 254 pounds, giving Drew Brees another Jimmy Graham-like TE.

Jared Cook going to the Saints could have an impact similar to the one Demario Davis had for New Orleans. His presences makes it harder for defenses to double Alvin Kamara or Michael Thomas. Plus, he'd be the best TE for Drew Brees since…Jimmy Graham.
