Los Angeles Lakers small forward Lebron James will sit out for the rest of the season(6 games). The Lakers have already been eliminated from the playoffs, so this is no surprise.

“After consulting with our team, doctors, and medical staff, we have decided to hold Lebron out of games for the remainder of the season. This decision will allow his groin to fully head, and is best for the future success of both Lebron and the Lakers.”

In Lebron’s first season with the Lakers, he played in 55 games, averaging 27.4 points, 8.5 rebound, and 8.3 assists while shooting 34.3% from 3, and 66.5% from the free throw line.

The injury he suffered on Christmas Day against the Warriors changed the Lakers season. The Lakers were in the fourth spot in the Western Conference after beating them.

This summer will be most interesting for the Lakers. This is the first offseason where he will rest his mind and body.
