So you may be thinking to yourself, “oh man, it’s Lebron’s guy,” or “Ty Lue is a terrible coach.” And it’s fine to feel that way about Lue. He isn’t a Gregg Popovich or Phil Jackson type coach. But he is someone that has been through the battles of the Eastern Conference and was the coach of the one and only team to dethrone the Golden State Warriors in the NBA FInals coming back down from 3-1.
I think Lue has the capability of becoming the Lakers coach even after the Lebron era. I’m also a fan of his offense that he implements that can really take our young guys to the next level especially benefiting the Lakers last two top 2 picks in Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball.
Take a look below of a video by LakerFilmRoom on Lue’s spacing principles which is only a part of Lue’s offense but goes to show how it could benefit some of the guys.
Tyronn Lue also made it known that he will do whatever it takes to coach at his best by putting the narrative out there that he will be looking for some of the top notch assistants which is what he did by recruiting Tom Thibodeau, although he declined.
All in all, it most likely looks like Lue will become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers and I am looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for this organization on their way back to try and bring home number 17 and more.
