The Saints have now signed two running backs along with the cutting of two other players. The team is currently participating in Organized Team Activities, otherly known as OTA’s.

Pictured above are the two players the Saints have let go of, RB AJ Ouelette and CB Jordan Wyatt. The Saints likely signed them for depth during OTA’s.

The first running back the Saints signed this morning was Matt Dayes. Dayes was a 7th round selection by the Browns two years ago and primarily shined during Special Teams where he picked up eight ST tackles. I expect we’ll use him primarily in ST and depth during Training Camp.

The second running back the Saints signed today was former Ravens 2015 4th round selection Javorius “Buck” Allen. Over the course of the years, this 6’0″ RB has racked up a total of 2,369 all-purpose yards. He should provide depth to the RB position, especially during Training Camp.
