Strengths

  • Great 3-point shooter, one of the best spot up shooters in college basketball
  • Very good assist-turnover ratio (3.4 to 1)
  • Overall is just an extremely efficient player with great decision-making who makes few mistakes
  • Great court vision and patience on offense, is a great passer and has a very high basketball IQ
  • Creates for both himself and others
  • His awareness, IQ, and length have made him a lock-down defender
  • Good size for a point guard, allows him to guard multiple positions effectively, and he can also post up smaller players on offense
  • Solid rebounder for a guard

Weaknesses

  • Not very athletic or fast, occasionally struggles to keep up with extremely quick guards
  • Can have a hard time creating separation on offense
  • Will need to improve his shooting off the dribble to become successful
  • His low athleticism will likely be exposed in the NBA and may limit his ceiling

Grade for Bucks: A-

Jerome looks like a guy who is poised to be a solid contributor to an NBA team with his great intangibles and efficiency on both ends to go along with his shooting. The Bucks should be very happy if they can get him on draft night, as he would be another great spot-up shooter off the bench to put around Giannis, and a guy who can also bring it on the defensive end. Jerome won’t be any type of star in the NBA or a guy who you can rely heavily on to get buckets, but the Bucks don’t need him to be that. He can hit open shots and create for others, and he would be a great pick for Milwaukee at #30.
