Strengths

  • Excellent athlete with size, strength, and quickness
  • Good three-point and midrange shooter, improved his three-point shooting every year
  • Can score in a variety of ways
  • Great scorer off the dribble — can beat defenders off the bounce or pull up from midrange
  • Doesn’t make many bad decisions on offense
  • Has tremendous strength which makes him a great rebounder and allows him to finish around the rim and through contact
  • His combination of lateral quickness and strength gives him the ability to guard multiple positions effectively
  • Good motor and a great leader

Weaknesses

  • Sometimes settles for jumpers too much instead of putting pressure on the defense and getting to the line (only averaged 2.3 free throw attempts per game last year)
  • Can improve as a passer and a playmaker
  • Occasionally struggles defending quick players and gets caught flat-footed

Grade for Bucks: B-

Schofield does a lot of things well offensively and can score in just about every way possible. His prolific shooting combined with great athleticism and motor would make him a solid pick for the Bucks. He would likely need to do more catching and shooting and less one-on-one scoring with the Bucks, but he has shown the ability to come off of screens and shoot. He’s just an average defender but his offensive game would make him a nice addition for Milwaukee.
