Strengths

  • Has good size/length for a wing and is a great athlete
  • Great in the open floor and runs the floor well — dangerous in transition
  • Has the size to defend multiple positions
  • Great ball handler
  • Three-point shot has gotten much better (23% as a freshman, 45% as a sophomore)
  • Great playmaker, very unselfish and smart — can drive and dish and find open guys
  • Moves well without the ball and knows how to get open
  • Very versatile, good on the attack as well — his length makes him tough to stop and he is a good finisher

Weaknesses

  • Sub par defender, struggles to stay with quicker guards when they go to the rim
  • Effort on defense needs to improve
  • Needs to become more physical inside and finish through contact better
  • Three-point shot has improved tremendously, but he still has to prove he can hit shots at the next level
  • Not a great free throw shooter (69%)

Grade for Bucks: B-

Okpala would be a good addition for the Bucks as an athletic wing who can hit shots and be an offensive playmaker. His defense needs improvement but the Bucks could possibly use him as an offensive piece who comes in and gives the team some scoring and shot creating while Giannis or Middleton are out. Okpala has versatility and a lot of great physical tools that would make him a solid first round pick for the Bucks.
