Now that the group stage is over its time to rank these teams 1-12.

.) Brazil– They still are the most talented team and finished the group stage unbeaten, they face Paraguay in the quarterfinals.

.) Uruguay– They got a huge win over Chile and have been in great form to start this cup, they take on Peru next game.

.) Colombia– The only team to win all of their games, and they did it without conceding a goal. Colombia faces their first challenge as they have a date with Chile next.

.) Chile– The defending champs got 6 points however a disappointing loss to Uruguay which will cost them as now they have to face the streaking Colombians.

.) Argentina– Argentina limped through the group stage but they have more than enough talent to make some noise in the knockout stage. Argentina has an interesting match-up with Venezuela upcoming.

.) Venezuela– Venezuela has impressed as they enter the knockout stage unbeaten, if they can continue their play they can certainly upset Argentina in their next game.

.) Peru– Peru got trashed by favorites Brazil 5-0 but a win over Bolivia and a draw against Venezuela allows them to advance as the best third place team. They face Uruguay in their next match-up.

.) Paraguay– Paraguay is lucky to advance with only 2 points but now they must prove they deserve to advance as they take on the hosts Brazil.

.) Japan– Besides earning a draw against Uruguay their run was underwhelming after advancing to the round of 16 in last years World Cup.

.) Qatar– Qatar only earned one point but they had moments where they played good soccer which is encouraging for their future in next years Copa America, and eventually the 2022 World Cup.

.) Ecuador– Ecuador stole a point against Japan that kept the Japanese out of the quarterfinals but besides that their play this tournament was poor.

.) Bolivia– Bolivia was the only team to not earn any points, as they conceded 3 goals in every game they played in, they must improve if they want to earn respect from their Conmebol counterparts.
