Clowney wants a new deal from the Texans, but both sides have yet to come to an agreement. The Texans have franchise tagged Clowney but he hasn’t signed the tag allowing him to freely meet with other teams. If the Dolphins or any other teams want to acquire Clowney they would need to trade for him. The Dolphins have said they intend to keep tackle Laremy Tunsil so don’t expect him to be involved in any trade. Houston is in need of a starting running-back after Lamar Miller tore his ACL, meaning a trade package of Kenyan Drake or Kalen Ballage coupled with a third-round pick could do the trick to land Clowney.
